Silver Dollar City Finale

January 15th, 2012 at 10:08 pm by June -->

We took our final Silver Dollar City trip in December. It was a beautiful weekend. The Veers came and joined us for a day so the kids had lots of fun. I love going there at Christmas time!

It was so busy on Saturday that we lost Evan trying to leave that evening. It took us an hour to be reunited with him.  Poor boy was so scared. We haven’t lost anyone but Eli before so this was a new learning experience for all… :)

Worlds of Fun

At the end of the August we made our annual trip to Worlds of Fun. My sister had cheap bring a friend tickets so we gathered a group of kids and went. It was home school day which is always a really dead day with no lines. It is a great day to go.

At the end of the day we made our way to the rip cord. Maggie has wanted to do this for years and decided she wanted to do it in the dark. Pictures and video were hard to take in the dark but it looked fun. The rip cord pulls you way up into the sky and then you drop and free fall until the cord bounces you back up into the air again.

And then Evan did it with his cousin, Trey.

Thanksgiving in Alabama

I know. These posts are all out of order. I am just trying to catch up on the last 6 months of our lives. I don’t want to look back someday and think…hmmm, I wonder what did we did on Thanksgiving in 2011??

We went to Alabama for the week. All of Damon’s brothers were together for the week. His mom and Kurt went down, too. We had a great time with beautiful weather and lots of good food!

Labor Day Mega Camping Trip

This is the 2nd year in a row that we have taken a Labor Day Weekend Camping Trip. It is a great weekend for camping. We had about 10 families go this year so it was really fun. There were plenty of play mates for the kids.
