Rainbow

The kids were so excited to go out on our deck today after the rainstorm and see this…..

Little Eli is so scared of thunderstorms. Today when the thunder started I went to his room where he was taking a nap and watched him. The first loud BOOM and he sat straight up in bed and started crying. I grabbed him right away and took him to the living room. His little heart was a pounding and his eyes were big as saucers as he watched the storm. Everytime it thundered he would say “BOOM” and grab me and hug me. He loves thunderstorms if he is being held, but is scared to death if he is alone in his room.

Going Swimming

Tuesday, May 30th, 2006

Today the kids finally got to go to the pool and swim. I bought season passes to the pool this summer and hope to take them often. I told the kids if they cleaned the basement and the back yard before daddy got home from work I would take them swimming. I have never seen them clean so fast in my life. They were so excited. I took Maggie, Micah, and Evan and left Eli and Molly at home with daddy.

My Big Helper

Tuesday, May 30th, 2006

Molly just loves Micah. Something about him makes her smile more than at anyone else (well, except for mommy and daddy). Today she was crying and he came upstairs and picked her up and she immediately was smiling and talking to him. He has always been a baby lover. When Eli was born he spent all day watching him and talking to him and now he is doing the same thing with Molly.

Cousins

Saturday, May 27th, 2006

All the cousins on my side were together this weekend. There are 20 cousins and they are pretty close in age and have so much fun together. We had a big get together at our home on Friday and we got a picture of all but 4 of them together at the park across the street. Molly, Ella, Trey, and Taylor are the ones missing from the picture.
