This is something new I am going to try to do each week to write down the small stuff about the kids that I don’t blog about. I want to remember the little stuff, but most of the time don’t make a full post about it. I realize it is Wednesday, but I have to do it on Tuesdays from now on cause it sounds better for a title.
Maggie had a great birthday. The best one ever. We took her to TGI Fridays to eat. They came to sing to her and made her stand on her chair while they yelled about her birthday to the whole restaurant. It was great. We got her a waterproof sports watch which she has wanted for a long time.
Micah is going through such a cute stage. He needs his mommy more than he ever has. He can’t go to sleep until I tuck him it. He says that I am the best “coverer up” in the world. There is something about the way I do it that makes him feel safe. Ahhh!
Micah loves to talk to Damon and me on the phone. He sneaks calls in to Damon several times a day. I can count on him calling me on my cell phone every time I leave the house just to check on me. Last night I had been gone for 30 minutes and he called me to tell me that it felt like I had been gone forever.
Evan has finally caught on to reading and math. I was a little scared at the beginning of the year because he is so different than Maggie and Micah when it comes to school. He is much quicker than them to pick up on life skills and slower to pick up school skills. For instance: he potty trained really early, he rode his bike without training really early, but reading was really tough for him to figure out. It has been fun for me to watch his little brain figure it all out this year.
Eli broke his spare glasses yesterday. It was only the second time he has worn them and he broke them. A good reason not to buy cheap glasses.
Eli talks with a little French accent and it is hilarious. He can’t say the “er” sound and instead replaces it with the long a sound. He just brought me a bouquet of weeds and told me Happy Valentines day. He told me to go put them in watA so they won’t die.
Molly has figured out how to pick my bathroom lock. She then comes in and thinks she is in charge of making sure no one else comes in and bugs me while I am taking a shower.
Molly calls Damon “dad and me “mom”. She is our only child to not call us mommy and daddy and it cracks us up.
