I have a quick story to go along with this picture. The other night I was home alone with the kids. I had most of them ready for bed. I went to get Evan and found him riding in the water across the street. I decided to be a nice mommy and let Eli and Molly go play in the water, too. EVEN THOUGH I had already gotten them ready for bed. Don’t worry, Eli promised me he wouldn’t get his jammies dirty.
I went to get my camera to take some pictures of their fun and what happened next was disastrous. Eli went and got his scooter and whizzed by me so fast I didn’t even get a picture of him on it. Evan was riding toward Eli on his bike and smashed straight into Eli’s scooter right in the middle of the water. (Molly’s foot was also ran over in the accident) I suddenly had three kids laying in the water crying and screaming. It felt as though the whole neighborhood was staring at us. (They were)
I couldn’t move fast enough (cause you know, I had a camera in my hand) but I ended up having to pick up Eli who was soaking wet with dirty water and had blood everywhere and carry him home screaming. His foot was sliced right between his big toe and the next toe. Ouch!
