Fall

fall1

I love the part of fall where the leaves change. We have the most beautiful trees with red leaves. They fall off the trees way to fast for me, but the kids love to see the leaves fall so they can play in them. We took a few pictures before the trees went bare.

Two out of five kids photographed. Not too bad.

Molly’s favorite toy ever. If anyone sees a small one like this please let me know. It would make a great gift for Molly. Someone brought this one to the church picnic and she bounced around on it all night long.

Evan as he looks at our back yard: Mommy, I have always dreamed of running through a river.

Eli:Yeah, mommy, I have always dreamed of jumping in a lake.

Mommy: Ok, boys. Go! Live your dream.

More Branson Fun

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

This last weekend we went to Branson with all of my sisters, mom, and the “oldest” kids. This included Maggie, Micah, and Evan in our family.

Micah broke out with the flu on Monday before we went. He seemed to be doing pretty good the day we left and decided to go. (Bad decision)

On the way down he got super car sick and it all went down hill from there. He had a fever most of the time and felt just miserable. We even almost took him to the ER one night it got so bad. It was his dream to go to Branson with his cousins and he was so sick he couldn’t enjoy any of it. It made me so sad.

I did manage to go to Silver Dollar City for a few hours one day while my mom sat at the condo with him. I was able to ride the WILDFIRE with Evan finally. He grew a half inch in the last few months and was finally able to ride. Yay!

On Saturday we had to be out of the condo by 11:00am. There was no way Micah could go to Silver Dollar City the way he felt so I used my sisters car and headed for home. Evan was running a fever that morning so I took him with me. (Good decision) An hour into the ride Evan started hallucinating and talking really crazy. He was making no sense and seeing things in the car that weren’t there and hearing things that weren’t said. He would then start to vomit and then start over with the crazy talk. It freaked me out!

When I got back to KC I went straight to urgent care with the boys. They both had 103 fever and were tested for the flu. (positive) Later that day Maggie came home with my sisters and had a fever and has been really sick, too.

I found out at urgent care that hallucinations are going along with this H1N1 flu virus.

Even with all of that I managed to have a good time in Branson and enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful leaves as they were changing.  I didn’t get to take pictures so I have stolen a few from my sisters blog. :)

Eli’s Art Store

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Eli gave me a sales pitch on some of his art work the other day. The price tag is above the pictures. He wanted $3 for this picture. I ended up talking him down to 37 cents. He was a pretty tough salesman, though. The coolest thing…the picture was GLUED to the wall.
